Don't all you GTI owners get complacent 'cause of ya hydraulic shizzle....mines foooooked!lol. The swing arm is floppy as hell and has worn out the bolt thingymajiggy that goes into the gearbox...PLUS....the master cylinder has a hole in sumwhere and is letting air into the hydraulics so the clutch goes right to the floor and still doesnt let you engage a gear!...so vw are going to fix it (apparently!) all for a nominal fee of...£650! ah well....thank god for the aa repair cover i pay for!!!

You guys dont seem to be getting much outa motors?! on average my gti does atleast 230miles from a tank full (from full to 5-10miles on the red). This is usually Tesco super (99ron) or Sainsburys super (which is 98rom I think). I would definately recommend using super unleaded. The car is much more peppy and grunty!

alright mate. I am experiencing a similar engine cutting out problem with my lupo gti! Mine is going in for a service (which it needs) next week so we'll c if that helps at all. Is your engine also rattling a bit when you v v lightly nudge the accelerator?...'cus mine is doind that too....almost like a cam prob?! We need help boffins of CL!!!!...
