  1. Hi All. In my quest to understand and control this engine with a custom ECU program I am wondering about the idle switch. Essentially, what does it do? How does it work? Why is it there? Does it simply receive a signal or does it report position back to the ECU? etc... Frank
  2. This is the reason I'm also inquiring about the coolant temp pin out in case anyone was wondering. Frank
  3. My apologies for being vague. We are programming our own ECU with our own code for this car L3 Enigma. I'm trying to gain an understand as to how this sensor interacts with the engine. For example, if the sensor doesn't work, how does the engine react? Frank
  4. Can someone elaborate on what this does? I have mapped it but I don't know what to with the information. Frank
  5. Hello. I'm wondering if anyone knows what the 4 pins in the 1.2l coolant temp sensor are for? I'm assuming two are for 12V/gnd and the other two have a change in resistance? Bonus to anyone who can point me to something like resistance Vs. temp. If not I'll calibrate it on the stove. Frank
  6. Hi all. We have this little hybrid sports car we built a few years ago (www.l3research.com) and are trying to get control of it's 1.2L Lupo TDI with a Mototron ECU. We are wondering if anyone is familiar with the engines timing. There are 5 teeth on the cam pulley and a cam sensor which is easy enough to read. We just aren't sure why there are 5 teeth and not like 3 or 6 or something like that. We are are also not so sure about the crank sensor. Does anyone know what kind it is? Is it reading off of the flywheel? If anyone is really savvy and has any info the injection sequence and how it relates to these sensors that would be even better. We have Lupo info but it's mostly in German. Thanks, Frank
