  1. Well, im back after purchasing a rather messed about with Lupo death trap to try and make it roadworthy again. The last time i was here must have been around 12 years ago. Before - and current -
  2. ill have the grills and forgs for 45 delivered?

  3. Lauryn this happened to my Arosa 1.4 TDi in December. Seat wanted £600, then vat on top, then labour on top of that so i kindly told them where to go. I took my car to a company called ES ALternators in Kirky. The guys had the car and ECU for a week and found that one of the small circuit boards inside was cracked. They guys sorted that out, drove the car for a road test, full diagnostics then told me to road test it before i took it away then ran a full diagnostic on it beore i left to give me the print out as proof. All in all - £330 in VAT. Guys were top class and really know there stuff. A big diference from SEAT wanting around £1000! 0141 776 3689 Hope this helps
  4. I loved the polished peppers but the adapters were jsut too big and the tyres rubbed too much. Hope to see the pics of them on the Lupo GTi (the car of the guy i sold them to). Ian
  5. Well had this little number for a while now. I used to have a modded Lupo SDi but the engine didnt have enough kick. I had loads of ideas for the Arosa but finally decided to keep it minimal and simple! I really wanted to keep the mirror polished Audi peppers then lower but i changed my mind Now lowered on Jamex coilovers, with 15x7 Platin alloys with a mirror polished lip and a custom stainless cat back system ( which sounds great for a diesel!). Ian
  6. yeah thats cheap , OLW was about £500 to get two arosa bumpers smoothed the first time and then he done them himself the second time round
  7. i was running audi peper pots on my arosa and it was 15x6 et38 with i think it was 20/25mm spacers and 165/50/15 and the car was slammed and they rubber a bit at the back but a bit of rolling and they would clear .
  8. Rightyooooh!! Here goes! Aparently there was a crack on one of the small circuit boards inside thr ECU. This was replaced and whatever else they done and it cost me £390!!! A lot better than £1200 for a new one from Seat! ES ALTERNATORS in Kirkintilloch did the work and i ratt them very highly 0141 776 3689. They even did a diagnostic after i picked te car up as they wanted me to drive it then check it on their machine. The car is running great again and how much i have missed her !!
  9. Cheers guys! Tigz that would be a massive help if you do have one! Well, i paid the labour today at Seat whilst being sick inside my mouth at £230 for 4 hours labour and a load of advice! It has now been moved to another garage that is calling in an auto electrician to strip it down and check all wiring and solder joins etc. When i was in an accident last year, there was a major leak coming from the passenger footwell and im sure it was coming in from the pollen filter which is next to the ECU so the water coming in there could have damaged it. But its weird that its been fine for 8 months with no problems and now this. The earth wire was loose and not wired up correctly on the ECU. STAY CLEAR OF WILLOWBRAE COACHWORKS IN EDINBURGH!!!!! I will post how the auto elec gets on but i now have the code off the ECU and been in touch with VW dismanltlers through ebay so hope to get one a massive bit cheaper than £968, yes £968 from Seat! Slightly stressed out - Ian
  10. Apparantly the ECU on my car is nackered!? Its a 02 plate 1.4 75bhp AMF engine. Now here goes, Seat want £1200 to replace the ECU and labour. I obv dont want to fork that out on a car thats worth £2 - 2.4K. Now has anyone ever had this problem before? Did you get a recon ECU or know anywhere that deals with them etc?? Just moved into my new house so trying to keep costs down to a minimum! Dont want to break the car down as its a great wee thing. Im open to any ideas or any help to point me in the right direction. I havent yet got internet in my new place yet so i will leave a number for some helpful texts! Ian - 078 54 83 66 43 - Just outside Glasgow
  11. Right, my car is so ill! When i turn the key i am getting no illuminated coil light on my dash and there isnt the mechanical noise as if something is moving into place. My car will not start at all. The RAC guy reckons its the RELAY?? Has any other TDi owners had this problem? If so, whatt was it and the outcome please with price Ian

    My Arosa :-)

Cheerz guys! I will be glad to give you a hand but you neec to tell me what to do! Im sure they were off the A3 model. They were shining like a diamond in the sun today and looked amazing! Hope theres lots more sunny days to come
  13. Pretty much a simple and standard TDi. Mirror polished Audi A3 Pepperpots and going down 40mm tomorrow :-) Loving the wheels Got so many ideas and things i want to do but thinking of just a remap after it goes down! Ian
  14. A mate of mines did this and had to have his spare wheel well removed, a metal plate welded in and then an aftermarket exhaust made up. It looked and sounded the part but had to spend a lot of money on getting this done. Upto you mate but personally i wouldnt. Ian
