Just in case anyone has the same issue and is searching around (and balking at the price of a new ballast), changing the bulb seems to have done the trick for me - so far so good... Cheers for all suggestions

My beloved GTi is struggling a bit getting it's drivers side headlight turned on! When the lights are turned on, all 4 fronts light up, but the drivers side xenon flickers on and off full brightness before turning off after about 10s. I have a suspicion it's the (rather expensive) ballast that's causing the problem, but wondered if anyone else has had a similar issue? My battery hasn't been overly happy recently, but given regular usage it seems to charge fine and the battery issues predate the light problem. Any help would be much appreciated!!

NOW SOLD ------------- Genuine VW Kyalami's taken from a Lupo Sport. 4x 100 Stud Pattern. They have been previously DIY refurbed. Come with the tyres but they could do with changing. Looking for £50 collected from Nottingham. Are listed on eBay but happy to end the auction for somebody here.

Now sold! ---------------- Four 13" steel wheels with tyres, fit Lupo, Polo 6N and 6N2. 4 x 100 studs pattern. Come with excellent condition 2 x Maxxis UA 603 tyres and 2 x Hankook Optimo tyres - 175/65 R13. Approx 6mm of tread left on all tyres. Came off my 1 litre Lupo and have the plastic wheel trims if wanted. Looking for £80 collected from Nottingham. Posted on eBay but happy to end auction for someone on here.
