  1. Yes my exhaust vibrates when the engine is cold and I turn left, I can feel the vibration in my seat! Any ideas?
  2. ebay? VW dealership? If you find the VW part number and search on google maybe?
  3. Thanks for reply. I have discovered that if I wait 5 minutes after switching the engine off, the central locking works lovely 100% of the time. But as soon as I turn my engine on, the actuators go up and then immediately down every time I try to unlock the doors. Basically, the system works fine when the car battery has 12v, but when I switch my engine on and the generator kicks in, the voltage goes up to 14.5v, and the central locking does not like this voltage. After switching the engine off, the voltage slowly drops back down to 12v and then the central locking works again. I have verified this with an array of NiCad batteries at 14.5v connected to the central locking, it does not like it, but 12v works fine. Do you think I have a faulty control unit? Because it should work at 14.5v, every car goes up to this voltage with the engine + generator running right?
  4. Hi there I have just installed an Rclick central locking kit to my Lupo E and Im having some issues. Everything is wired up ok. But basically it works sometimes, you have to lock the door with force to make the actuator realise you have locked or unlocked, if you do it too gently it will not realise and the passenger door will not lock/unlock. I think this is because the door lock pin (the bit that moves up and down) doesnt move up and down quite far enough to trigger the actuator. I was fine with this. But then I turned my engine on, and now sometimes when I unlock the door, the actuators move up and then immediately down and vise versa. This now happens about 50% of the time, engine on or off. I dont know why this has started happening after I turned the engine on, before it was fine (other than having to use force). The central locking gets its power from the radio fuse, could this be the issue? Does anyone know if you can put a spacer or something onto the acuator to limit the amount of up/down movement? Any help would be greatly appreciated, cheers
  5. I would like the up! more if it was called Lupo
  6. I like the up! but I am not a fan of the shiny plastics inside, or the shape of the rear lights. If it was my money I wold go for the skoda citigo instead, the rear lights look more regular, and no shiny plastics inside it just looks simpler and cleaner. And £500 cheaper
  7. Do you mean like a scraping metal sound? Could be the clutch bearing?
  8. I think a clutch change on a lupo is either £250-£300 or a pain in the arse
  9. Its because he wants to buy an E92 M3 lol, and he can only do that if he sells the marcos! I would love to have it, but its really not an everyday car so I would need a garage, money and mechanical knowledge! He will have to mot and tax it before he sells, so there is probably one last drive left. Theres a video of it below if anyone is interested, i cant bring myself to watch it, too upsetting!
  10. The Polo 6N2 interior looks very similar to the lupos, except it has a rather nice looking drawer on the passenger side where the shelf is on a lupo. See pics on the link below. http://www.clubpolo.co.uk/forum/lofiversion/index.php/t115200.html Just wondering if anyone knows the differences between this interior and a lupos interior? Has anyone tried to fit the drawer to the lupo? Cheers
  11. Its really sad though. My dad finished building the marcos in 1994, when I was 3 years old, and he has owned it my whole life, im 21 now. We took it to track days every year, I became really attached to the car. But my dad is 65 now, he wants to sell it. It will break my heart to see someone else driving it, I would honestly rather it was crushed than sold to someone else. He built it, and hes had it for as long as I can remember, its not right that anyone else should own it! Has anyone else had the same emotional attachment to a car?
  12. My dad had one custom made for his Marcos, there are no blowers so it is required for the MOT. Theres also a voltmeter gauge on the dash, and turning on the heated screen really zaps the volts!
  13. I was removing my engine cover, and one of the bolts was really hard to undo, and I ended up snapping the bolt in half, with half of it still in the thread of the hole. Is there any way I can get the snapped bolt out of the hole, with nothing to grip on to it?
