  1. Mine just went this morning! Luckily I was near a garage so just dumped it there. I hope it doesn't cost more than £300.
  2. Nope i can't open the door from inside or outside, currently climbing across from the passanger side style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="wacko.gif" /> I have it booked in to the garage for friday, but if i can do a fix sooner it would be better - can you lead me through what i should do (if there is anything i can do)
  3. Ok, I have an update - well more info. I have attempted to attach a picture to show what I think is wrong, but I don't know. Any advice comment would be useful. border="0" class="linked-image" /> border="0" alt="" /> Circled in red is a hooky bit which I think should hook onto the bit circled in green. Note on this drawing the door handle is being pulled from the outside, normally these 2 things would sit close to each other. I want to know if I connect these, when i pull the handle will the door open, as at present it doesn't. Apologies for the dodgy photo, it was taken on my phone looking into a mirror while a badger was chewing my foot...
  4. The rear hatch problem could be if your rear windscreen washer has been used and there is a leak from it... See http://forums.clublupo.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=16153 to fix as it makes the problem happen on mine sometime.
  5. Ok i'll admit it, i've messed up, but i don't know how. The drivers lock on my door was sticking so i followed the instructions in the link below: http://forums.clublupo.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=15868 It all went fine, or so i thought.... But when i went to lock my door i couldn't return it to 'normal' position to get the key out, after a little bit of jiggling i thought i had it, so i tried to open the door again however instead of the key stopping at the 3 o'clock point i can just keep turning it 360 degrees (clockwise). So now my door is locked but i can't unlock it. If I try to turn the key anticlockwise it stops in the proper position. If i try to open the door from the inside it wont do it. If i try to unlock the door (via central locking) from the passenger it makes an attempt (it seems) but fails. Please can anyone help me solve this??? Is it just that i've messed up a linkage or something? I really don't want to take it to the garage as the stealers took £511 off me last week :'( Cheers
  6. I know that in most cars you hear creaking occasionally in the bodywork through heat expansion and slight twist when driving but in my car I'm noticing that it seems to be making quite a bit of noise when turning at speed. This has got me slightly concerned as working in a car plant I know that weld quality isn't always that good.... especially in first off the line vehicles. Does anyone else notice noise when turning at speed??? My car is a V ('99), which I guess must have been fairly close to the start of Lupo production?? In a lighter note, my car has 'solid' headrests (i.e. no hole through the middle) but any Lupo i've looked at has holey ones, why is this? is it to do with when it was manufactured? Cheers Con
  7. Ok, i've had a few problems with my lupo as of recent. Occasionally when slowing for a roundabout or turning my revs just die off and car cuts out. Any one have any idea what is going on, i've heard of clutch problems in lupos will this be the case?? Also, I recently checked my car over and for the first time since owning my car I have found that the oil was low - very low. I filled it up and got on my way, however a couple of days later when I started my car in the morning I could hear a different note in the engine (sounds a bit like the fan is working and twice the rate and is sitting in the passenger seat, but not that loud), does anyone have any idea why this may be? is it related to the oil top up?? Also (as you can see I have a couple of things to sort out), has any one had any problems with their boot lock i.e. getting stuck and won't turn?? any solutions to fix. And has anyone had a problem that if they lock the car from the inside that the passenger lock closed and immediatly pops open again?? any solution?? Finally has anyone had problem with getting the passenger window down using the driver side control?? If anyone could help with any of these problem I would be grateful. I am willing to try any of the work to fix of these problem myself, but if no info is available, does anyone have any experience on how much getting the work done would cost?? Cheers Steve
