  1. Hell mitch whats that angle then do not want that much ??//
  2. Will it so your suggesting going further across the chart then thats what we are after really an idea how much 0.75 more would be? I want it moved enough to stop the rubbing but not stupid angle!! Anyone got pics
  3. Hi Yeah arches rolled they are only just scraping when put foot down so was hoping to get it with shims i already have them (eibach) and fitted the front bolts also but me and my mate just wondering how far to go with the camber on the rear!! i dont want to go to silly with the angle as my girlfriend drives it so need it to handle as close to normal as can lol, just want to sort the rubbing!! It is only just catching the outside of the wall of the tyre where it is stretched, was hoping to see pictures of different angles with them stated to give me an idea!! We have been thinking half way on the chart provided = -0.75 on top of the standard -1.0 but unsure if this is loads or minor difference to dstandard ???? Will try post pics Cheers
  4. HEY After some advice on rear camber please, just put teledials 15 x 7 ET23.3 tyres 185/45/15 on my 1.4 s its on JOM Coils with the adjusters out the rear so sits lovely, 15mm FK adaptors and tele's are ET23.3 but it is slightly catching on the rear so i am fitting some eibach rear camber shims but wondering what degree people are running or recomend for this set up!!!!!! Cheers
  5. Wondering if i will need some different bolts to fit my teledials to fk 20/25mm adapters i.e. length and style, venom list tapered or radius so wondering the difference and what i would need or if original vw alloy wheel ones are ok etc?? Cheers
  6. Hi guys right need advice and experience ont the above please. Ive got a 1.4 s lowered on JOM coils at the rear its at maximum with seats still in about 60mm and about 60-70mm at front!! I have some 7x15 52.3 et teledials with new 185/45/15tyres to go on but i would like advice on size adaptors to put on im thinking 20-25mm rear and 20mm front and they need to be 4x100 to 5x130 and if any pics of this set up if any?? I also have the Eibach camber adjustment bolts for the front and are wondering if anyone has a fitting guide or knows where i can look it up? I would also like to lower the car slightly for shows so advice on removing the rear seats safety and drop difference it makes removing them? Much appreciated lads Bully
  7. Hi lads Had probs with the passenger side window it decided to stop working last month, i can still hear the relay clicking on motor when press the switch and interior light dims when switch pressed i got told the cables may be tangled on wheel but stripped that and they look fine!!! Also the central locking is playing up the passenger side doesn't always lock when locked with drivers side untill i lock again then led light flashes!!! Basically ive got the passenger side door stripped and electric window reg fully out at present so i am after advice on what to look for regarding both problems whilst ive got it apart!!! Cheers
  8. Finally getting round to doing the genuine thermostat and G12 change after continous overheating probs with non gen so i am after the best way to go about completely flushing the system fitting the stat and filling back up with g12 then checking for air locks, blocks probs etc!! As stated on here before after a new water pump, non gen stat, rad and non gen coolant i still had overheating probs with no circulation untill the stat was removed then its fine so advised to fit gen stat and coolant which i am about to do!!! cheers lads steve
  9. Hi Yes its fine with no stat in did over 150 mies in it over xmas and new year only problem was temp below 70 most of time but heaters took 5 min to warm up and if stood still would move up to 90 on gauge!! Mechanic put another new stat in today but i assume non gen from andrew pages and i have a feeling he wont of put g12 in it either is this the likely problem then if so i will flush it put gen stat in and G12!! No mayo on dipstick coolant in bottle got like an orangy muddy colour with a greasy feel and look to it!!! Cheers mate
  10. Hi again lads i have posted a few posts last month about overheating probs with my 1.4 ahw but after its been to garage im still back at square one i will explain!!! Engine overheated in traffic so turned it off 100 mtrs down road, got it recovered back to a garage, the mechanic looked at it and said was water pump and stat as he could hear pump making rough noise and the top hose to rad was red hot and rock hard but bottom one cold n squeegy???? So changed these with new items including metal bladed pump!! Still no difference overheated after driving 1 mile up road, the mechanic now said rad blocked must be causing it as no circulation of water??? I removed rad flushed system well with hosepipe then fitted new rad and filled with collant!!!!! Still no change overheated slower this time got couple mile up road but still no circulation of water as top hose hot n hard bottom, cold n squeegy!!!! So removed stat as he said the new one was faulty and was stuck shut when took it out again.......... and it was fine not overheating at all but obviously temp staying at 70 most of time unless in traffic or parking then it reaches 90 but does not go over, the heaters do warm up after about 5 min even if temp reading below 70!!! And this is where i am at at present, its ok with stat out with no overheating but obviously its no good to leave stat out, the mechanic is now saying got head problems but what does this mean new head gasket needed or what been driving it around over xmas and new year with stat out as he said be fine untill new stat comes in in new year so concerned for head!!!!! Thinking i need to see another mechanic!!! Help!!!!!!!!!!
  11. top one getting hot bottom staying cold put about 3 ltrs in it to max line when cold might top it up more now run it??? Having another look this aft hopefully!!!
  12. pipes are just staying fairly soft and squidgy to be honest?????
  13. change??? as in get new ones again or just take out and put back in they where both brand new the pump is the metal blade type also so better than original??? Whats easiest way to test if pressurising?? Cheers
  14. Hi again lads right as mentioned in previous post got overheating problems on 1.4 16v ahw engine- mech said water pump and stat as top hose hot and hard bottom one soft and cold.... so changed pump and stat but still no flow through system so said rad blocked with ****... fitted new rad flushed system re filled and still same bottom hose cold and overheating!!!!!! It gets up to 90 after 5 min then if take it for drive it overheats slowly after couple miles, the heaters are warming up after the drive but where staying cold when parked!! Doesn't seem to be obvious signs of head gone but this wouldn't stop the flow anyway would it??? Ideas anyone costing fortune!!!!!!!!
  15. Hi yes i posted the problems on here the other day but not sure if head gone or not been told change pump and stat and see if that sorts the problem!!! I thought about just getting the belts also i think will do that!!
