  1. I'm normally at lowdown meets in my white lupo gti, well in the summer anyways!
  2. Already changed the switch, got a new one from VW. The switch was knackered inside so was the first thing I changed lol
  3. Hi all! I'm still having problems with my driver's side leccy window I've so far checked the fuses, changed the regulator, motor and switch to no joy. When I changed the regulator, motor and switch, it seemed to work perfectly for all of 10 minutes and then stopped again. Now you cannot even hear the motor click when pressing the switch although this is intermittent. Tested motor etc with volt meter, appears to be receiving power fine. I have now removed the lot and chocked it up with wood again. Does anybody know where the relays are located or have any other ideas before it goes to VW specialist? Only other things I can think of is either a broken wire or relay issue but I have no idea where that's located. Cheers, Chloe
  4. Checked the battery and alternator, both charging fine. Managed to jump the car and the alarm seems ok again for now. Noticed a load of water gathered under my battery tray in the boot though so its clearly leaking from somewhere. Possibly leaking from where it was de-wipered as i've heard thats common. Need to go find another bung for it now though as i've pushed it out and cant find it! Whooops!
  5. Hey all! I've been having trouble with the alarm on my gti lately and it's really starting to bug me now... I replaced the battery a couple of months ago as it kept going flat overnight causing the alarm to go off whenever i unlocked it. Also at car meets the alarm goes off as and when it pleases. The doors automatically lock themselves after a minute or so. There is no sub in the car or anything i can think of causing a drain. I always keep the interior light off altogether. The electric windows work when they want to and the central locking only works for the drivers door. The boot has to be opened by key and is really stiff to the point it wouldnt even open when unlocked tonight. The car is de-wipered on the rear. It has been stood about a week so i checked it tonight when i got home to make sure it would start tomorrow for work. When unlocking, only the passenger side lights flashed and the alarm started to go off. I put the key in the ignition but this made no difference as the battery was completely dead. The alarm shuts itself off after a minute or so but then started going off again about 10 seconds later regardless of whether the car was locked or not. The alarm ended up going off about 10 times. (Sorry neighbours!) I ended up having to climb in to disconnect the battery in the boot. I've heard a lot of problems electric wise with the lupo and was wondering if anybody has any ideas? I'm going to have a look tomorrow and try and get hold of a vagcom as i've read this may identify the problem. Many thanks in advance!

haha it's not as low now due to speed bumps in works car park :/
  7. Hey Guys and Gals! Here's my little loop...had her 6 months now as I got fed up of parents telling me to buy a more sensible car lol. (Used to have a couple of mk2f polos that were stripped out etc.) Bought her standard and so far had coilovers fitted, new headunit, mk2 steelies, grill badge black, fly-eyed lights, wind deflectors, pressed plates and surrounds with a few other little bits... Not really sure as to how long i'm keeping her or how much work to put into it as i've already managed to pretty much break this engine :/ Possibly looking for a Loop GTI or Fabia VRS later in the year. If I do keep her though will be looking at getting my Ronal Teddybears refurbished and put on, and then a decent exhaust system and possibly a conversion. Anyways heres a few pics of her And here's the teddies from my polo that i'm thinking about refurbing and sticking on loop
  8. I went i only saw the emerald green lupo driving around though. Mine was mucky as hell them fantasia greens are so hard to keep clean!
  9. Thanks dude il take a look
  10. Hey guys, i've got a 1.4 lupo and the engine code is AHW. Unfortunately theres a problem and been informed its the piston rings :/ i'm after another engine as I dont fancy rebuilding this one, just wondering if the AUA 1.4 engine is an ideal swap and whether it'll fit straight in without any extra work? If not are there any other engines that people would recommend? Thanks in advance
  11. Hey guys/gals, I know its a long shot but anyone know of any 1.4 lupos for sale im after a spares/repairs one whats damaged cosmetically. Needing the engine as rings have had it on mine. Ideally as close to Sheffield as possible or within 50mile or so. cheers!
