  2. Hi Guys, I am having exactly the same damn problem. i brought some pagid discs and pads in August last year, within 2 months i had have them replaced but now again my car is juddering like mad when i brake at 40mph. Apparently its uneven wear on my pads? Doubt that but i dont know what to do.. I was told by one mechanic that the driver side break was warm than the other side? Could that be a issue? Thanks.. 7. Guys got the window sorted today, took the door card of and was fiddling with the metal bracket and found that it was not attached to the white slider part which had caused it to drop slightly and causing the friction. Put the white bit into the hole and bingo it all works well now. thanks for your help guys!! :-))
  8. Thanks chrisbee for your advise. As soon as the weather clears up i will try taking the regulator out and see if that is the issue. Thanks for your help anyways.. i will update when i know more about it.
  9. Hi Guys, Got a problem with my window, when i put it down it goes down ok however when i am putting it back up again its stops about 1 or 2 cm from the top and jus goes to half. Seems like the anti-jamming mechanism kicks in. You can hear the motor struggling when it gets to the top. I managed to take the door cards off and put some WD40 on the runners however this has not helped and checked the switch was not faulty by checking with the other switch. When i looked at the runners they were attached to the metal part but it just sounds like its struggling when you put the window up. Any one got any suggestions on this? Is it the regulator? Motor? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
  10. The Temp sensor is that the one with 4 pin connector, soo what do you reckon i should get both sensor and stat replaced, how much would you reckon that would cost with labour about 60-70 quid?
  11. Hey Chrisbee, How do i check to see if the thermostat is working? N should d rad fan just kick in when the engine turns on. I have read around and some posts seem to say it could be thermostat and the temp sender. How much would you say it would cost to replace and fit these items? Thanks
  12. Hi Guys, Today I noticed a problem with my Temp Gauge after I went over a speed bump, i think i may have gone over slighly quicker then i should have. But basically my temp at that point was at 90 but 5 mins after going of the speed bump I noticed that the temp gauge had dropped below the 70 mark. I drove for another 10 mins after that and the temp still did not seem to increase. However after letting it cool down for a few hours I took it out for a spin and what i noticed was that the gauge went up to 90 but as soon as increased my speed the gauge suddenly dropped below the 70 mark. I am a novice with cars so any help will be appreciated. Thanks

Hi there buddy, Thanks for your reply, it seems like the whole cannister is missing so i have been to a local VW scrappy and picked one up. I am going to try and fit it in tomorrow or the day after. I dont have a clue about cars but i will give it a try and fix it in myself! Do you know if its a hard job to do? and it would normally fit right underneath the lights or adjacent to it? thanks for you help!
