  1. In which case your comment wasn't true either. "most of the wiring" does not run down the channel on the drivers side. Anyway, I'd have thought running the cables down the passenger side would be easier though as you've not got the instruments etc... in the way initially, and it's easier to get the trim off where the boot handle would be on the drivers side. Quite a bit easier, especially if you tie the cables to something a bit more substantial first, like an unfolded metal coat hanger, or a bicycle brake cable outer. .
  2. The rear wiring all runs down the passenger side...
  3. Under the trim piece that sits at the bottom of the A pillar I believe, if I remember rightly
  4. Anyone aware of a Lupo that's been fitted with a tank guard? Can't really see much looking through the threads. A bit unsure on where to use for the mounting points etc and after a bit of advice really, and hopefully some pictures!
  5. Today we made a bracket to fit the hyrdaulic handbrake to, and a bracket for a brake bias valve.. Also removed all the brake lines for the rear from underneath the car. Tomorrow maybe beginning to run brake lines to the rear. Also primed some of the unpainted metal ready to get it all painted and cleaned up.
  6. I don't think there'd be a particular easy way to move how far it went back...
  7. I find that very hard to believe. Are you sure the seats are going all the way back on the runners? As above, I'm 6' 1" and have no issues what so ever.
  8. You could use google drive or oneDrive etc... to upload (whoever does it) - or email it to someone who has this, I do...
  9. Are you on facebook? If so there's a group called 'VW parts for sale' or something like that - search that it should come up, I'm fairly certain there was one posted on there not so long ago.

    Sportex exhaust

Should be ok. Not entirely sure on whether it will fit or not, but you can definitely cut it away, at least that's my plan for my lupo!
  11. I'm not 100% on where the best place to put speakers would be, but removing them tweeters is really easy, just prise the cover off with a thin screwdriver and out pops the tweeter from what I remember, just cut the VW connector off and crimp on some spade connectors, job done!
  12. Yeah that's what i meant , was struggling for a way of describing it so went for "plastic edge"! The speakers are 6.5" / 16.5cm.
  13. I'll send you a picture later on of the pocket bit, it's in good condition. The radio usually sits flush with the dash, one slight issue I had was that with the adapter harness, the wiring is quite large and can often get wedged behind the radio causing it to stick out.. however using your hand you can push it over the plastic edge (You'll see what I mean) and hide the adapter blocks at the back left if this is causing any issues. Most head units come with a metal 'cage' like thing which it sits in in the DIN slot, then a fascia edge to make it look neat! So I'd say everything you need for physically fitting will come with it, not sure on the harness though.

    Sportex exhaust

http://exhaustpartsuk.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=102 Or get some tubing and a pipe bender to do it. Is it a different diameter to the original exhaust?
  15. I sold this to someone in Leigh, but was apparently going to someone who studies down south. Anyone seen it about?
  16. Not been able to get a copy of VCDS or a fault scanner when the light is on? Worth a go a guess, but yes most likely oil pressure switch
  17. Are you not better saving the money and insuring as a standard car, or just the wheels and coilovers? What kind of quotes have you been getting?
  18. Emailed on 25/11/15, not had anything back off them, and I believe bogdan_wrc emailed them earlier than that as well, with no reply again. I get the impression the mails aren't monitored anymore.
  19. New lock carrier is around £20-30, save the hassle
  20. http://www.ebay.co.uk/ulk/itm/271325753836 sometimes its it's quicker to just search.
  21. Personally I don't see the point in upgrading just the speakers. The factory speakers are very good when it comes to just being ran from the head unit. Say you have a 45w head unit, it's only ever going to output that much, and even with the best speakers in the world it might not sound any better, particularly if you're looking for volume, it will only get distorted higher on. In my first Lupo I had some JBL GTO speakers (can't remember the exact name) with a planet audio amp, and a pioneer head unit, and it sounded brilliant.. So when it came time to get the Lupo I have as a rally car now, I bought another set of the same speakers and ran them initially off the standard HU, then an aftermarket one; I wish I'd have kept the factory speakers as they sounded much quieter and were seriously lacking compared to the standard ones. IMO you'd be better off running an amplifier to the standard speakers in place of aftermarket speakers, or even better amp-+ speakers
