  1. There you go, it has been cleaned up since this picture, was taken during a house move!
  2. Hiya, near Wigan. Happy to post at your expense though. Reckon it would be somewhere around 7-10 to post it, not entirely sure.
  3. Ok thanks a lot, I'm also still trying to find one on the internet but no luck so far
  4. Bump - updated list above of more parts available
  5. No idea where I would even start to look for that! Would love to get a copy though, I'll try and find one somewhere.
  6. What these guys said. Yes it might look a bit neater or whatever and maybe sound a bit louder, but at the end of the day it's still going to be a 1.0. Better saving your money really and doing other mods. Also depending on what you end up getting, it could make the engine worse off by pulling more hot air in. If you're just after sound and don't care for anything else, drill the airbox (as mentioned multiple times) , and if you really want to, take the intake pipe off the airbox and just have the airbox, it's a bigger diameter than the pipe anyway and will sound louder, just might get more heat going in. I can only echo what Skezza has said, drill before the filter... I can't believe it needs clarifying either, but here we are!
  7. Nice! When are you expecting to have it back?
  8. Nope, did you? I have emailed the address the provided to see if it's available, not heard back yet!
  9. Quick update: I have the front GTI calipers and discs ready to fit, unfortunately I've been let down by two people now on getting some hubs/carriers suitable for them. Hoping that I can source some soon and get these fitted. The two rear stays sent with the roll cage appear to be mis-shaped at the end, the angles aren't quite right compared to the diagram/pictures we've been sent and they don't align properly. Replacements are on their way and hopefully some progress can be made with that. It's pretty much a case of getting the cage fitted next, once that's done the rear brake lines can be ran through the car and make the car move-able again! After receiving the renewal for my non-race nat b, decided it's time to bite the bullet and pay for the "Go Rallying pack" - the first step in acquiring my driving competition licence. Need to arrange a BARS test once this arrives. Also got a hydraulic handbrake kit that will be fitted at the same time as running the rear brake lines through the car. 6 point harnesses have arrived. I have quite a few parts waiting to be fitted now, just a case of getting the cage in then going from there. The plan is still aiming for my first event to be march/april time. After buying the GTI rear beam off Jambro on here a few months back, he managed to tempt me with the engine, and now i've got a 1600 out of a GTI sat in the garage! Although the first few events will still be using the standard 1.0 just to get a feel for the car and get out there and have fun Disappointing to see no progress but the motivation is still there, and i'm sure that it won't be too long till I'm ready to go!
  10. 6 point! There might be something in the box but they're in the garage. I can check for you if you like but i'm sure there will be a guide on the web that is much quicker! Ha thanks! I've just had a look at your thread, looks good! There is still more weight to be lost though, even if it is a daily.... because race car? Thanks!
  11. True! Just suggesting an alternative if they have one!
  12. Hi all, first of all let me start by saying that I'm aware there are lots of threads on the GTI conversion. I've just bought a 1.6 GTI engine for an upgrade from the 1.0. Specifically what is different? Mounts are the sameLoom isn't an issue, nor is ECU. Going with a DTA ecu. Questions (Which despite reading around on I'd like to clarify): Are the driveshafts different or can the 1.0 be used (I think they are different) Can the 1.6 gti engine be paired with the 1.0 gearbox, the short ratios would be quite nice for what the car is being used for. I think there is probably some issues with strength though ? Or alternatively what gearboxes can be fitted (apart from the obvious 5/6 speeds from the GTI) Anything else? Thanks
  13. After some front hubs & calipers off either a sport or GTI , i've got the brakes to do the conversion but no hubs!
  14. When i click the Lupo one it says page not found.
  15. Just wondering really what's the lowest weight you've seen on a race/rally/track prepared Lupo? I can't really find much.
  16. I wasn't aware the was a minimum hence my question . The rallying I am building mine for the minimum weight for a 1000cc is 750kg!
  17. Nice! Looking good. I presume you won't be keeping things like the radio, lower half of dash etc...? There is loads of weight to be saved there!
  18. As mentioned earlier, without pics, here's one of both seats test fitted on the rails! Shame it's all been stripped back down for the roll cage! Made a small start this weekend just gone, cut the main hoop down in length to fit in position. The cage will need a few tubes re-cutting/shaping to fit together!
  19. I might have some... I'll check for you and if so, cover the postage and they're yours!
  20. Hi, sorry no I don't! They're one of the 'lucky' pieces of interior that are staying for the time being! Sorry!
  21. Yep all 4. only two have VW logos on, not sure if this is normal? Came with the car anyway. All the screw holes appear to be intact. They just need a good clean.
