  1. Make: Volkswagen Model: Lupo 1.4 TDI Sport Production Year: 2002 MOT: 26th March '17 TAX: 1st April '17 Engine size: 1,442cc PD 3-cylinder turbo-diesel Mileage: 188618 Colour: Reflex Silver Fuel type: Diesel Car Description: Bought in May '11 when it had 112969 on the clock. She's been very reliable and has been mostly used for easy low-speed motorway commuting. She regularly gets 65-70 mpg and falls into the £30 yearly tax band (C). Changes gear well, has a good battery and a full tank of fuel. She has been in dry storage for 3-months but I've brought her back out and driven her about no problems and now need her sold. Mechanically she's good but is let down cosmetically. The side strips were in poor condition so I tried to remove them but the job was not perfect and could do with some replacement door rub-strips. It appears to have had a low-speed front bump (previous keeper) as the grill is cracked and there is a tiny crease and scratch on the bonnet. There is also a scuff on the rear-passenger bumper corner. There are a couple of small rust bubbles. One is on the inside rear wheel arch, one above the driver-side door on the rain gutter and some around the rear boot handle but these can easily be treated as they are early stage. The previous owner had kids who made a mess of the interior. I replaced the seats but the carpet, ceiling, door cards and seat lining all have marks which I’ve attempted to capture. Might be worth finishing what I started and get more black or red trim to match stuff up. She has a corroded passenger-side front foglight lense but it works and is not an MOT issue. She's had a lot of work done recently including a new metal power steering hose and suspension components. She comes with two keys. Has a folder of receipts, invoices and a database of everything done to the car since I've owner her. There is some history from previous owners but it is not complete but I have been thorough in my records of her since ownership these last 5 years. Modifications: BMW Mini R81 Imola 15” Alloy Wheels – replaced some nasty curbed wolf-race alloys. Very lightweight and fitted on custom machined hub-centric adapter/spacers. Wheels come fitted with 155/60/15 Continental Eco-Contact 3 tyres on all corners. It's been remapped [unknown source from a previous owner]. It's not been on a rolling-road but these usually boost the power to over 100-105bhp and net you around 180-185lb/ft of torque. It pulls like a train when needed and eager to rev. The seats were in poor condition so I replaced them with some black & red replacements. Fitted a double-din Pioneer head-unit with CD & USB (MP3) connection by myself. The original single-din pocket is included if you want to go back to a single-din Stereo. Toad Ai606 Catergory-1 Alarm with remote central locking I had professionally fitted with certificate for insurance. Tinted Windows and removed the rear wiper Location: Birmingham (Solihull) Images: Price: Now £799 Contact: Alex - 07731309056 (mobile), alexbeagley@hotmail.co
  2. I get over 72mpg AVERAGE in my TDI. Used to get 50ish until I got a scangauge and learned how to drive for economy. 80-90% of my driving is on the motorway though, Last week I got 92mpg on a run between Birmingham and London on a clear run. Heres the fuel log as proof. Usually get around 480-500 miles before I get a fuel Light. Car has a 100ish HP Remap and BMW Mini Wheels, no other mods. http://ecomodder.com/forum/em-fuel-log.php?vehicleid=6097
  3. I'm looking at improving economy, free up a little power, improve steering feel and remove a potential failure point on my TDI. I want to do a swap to removing my power steering. I wouldn't be happy just removing my power steering belt and want to remove the system completely. Is this possible? Is the hydraulic system completely isolated from the brakes? Is the power steering belt connected to other parts like the waterpump/alternator? Did early or base spec Lupos/Arosas come with manual steering racks I can use or would something from a similar age Polo like this http://www.ebay.co.u...=item335bfd84b3 be suitable?
  4. Here's the link, noticed it today with my idle browsing, someone will snap that up, hope its off here. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201146428991126/sort/priceasc/usedcars/fuel-type/diesel/model/lupo/make/volkswagen/page/1/radius/1501/postcode/wr40he?logcode=p
  5. Nobody got one going spare? Maybe tucked away in your spare wheel well?

    Bucket Seats

I have a single Black RMD Maximum Protection seat in good condition minus the subframe and back pads. It's basically a sparco copy so will fit pretty much any standard subframe and has side mounts. Looks the same as the pair in the link below. http://www.fastfordm...amies-saph-295/ It's uber light weight as it's made of fibreglass, not a metal frame at about 6-7kg. Very comfy but it's not FIA approved if that matters. £70 if I meet you halfway around birmingham?
  7. It doesn't look like I will be able to fit 13" steels to my TDI sport . It turns out as there is strong suggestion looking back through forum posts that they are too small for the 256mm brakes, damm. Am now after a single standard 14" alloy see here. http://forums.clublupo.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=84238
  8. Hi, looking for a single lupo sport [16V or TDI] standard 14 inch alloy. Alloy and tyre condition doesn't matter so long as it isn't buckled. Type shown below. Location is Worcester near birmingham but can travel a reasonable distance to collect, anywhere in the west midlands etc.
  9. Nobody with spare steels?
  10. Looking for a pair of 13" steel wheels. With or without hubcaps and tyres don't matter or if they they are legal or not. Intend to fit them on the front with snow tyres over winter so my car can drag itself to work. I'm heading to London from Birmingham this weekend so anybody living along the M5, M4, M40 or around London let me know and I can drop by and collect friday or sunday evening,
  11. They are a piece of piss to setup, just plug in and go really. The obd port is hidden under the ashtray "tray" which just lifts out revealing the port. I've got a more basic scangauge-E for about 77 quid but I reckon it's already paid for itself. You can set it up to display 2 different things at one time such as real speed, average mpg, current mpg, engine temp, oil temp, boost pressure etc all taken from the ECU. It will even read fault codes.
  12. According to my Scangauge I'm doing pretty much 70-72mpg to work each way every day in my remapped TDi. Before I got it I was driving at pretty much the same speeds and only getting around 54mpg average on a fill up. Now my fill ups are concurring at 68-70mpg average . A trip from London to Birmingham saw 84mpg, best ever though there was a little bit of down hill neutral coasting and sad to say, a touch of safish distance lorry drafting involved . Currently I'm at 450miles and the fuel light hasn't come on yet but I reckon it will in a mile or two. How much further do you reckon I can go before I hit empty? Do the SDi LUPO's have an OBD port under the ashtry to accept a scangauge or do they have a different more basic ECU?
  13. Hi. I have a PAS leak and it's booked into a garage next friday but I need to top up the fluid in the meantime. I've got hold of a litre bottle of CHF 11S and I think i've located what i'm pretty sure is the PAS filler pictured below but it has an odd top. It is on tight and want to know is it stimply anti-clockwise screw removal? The groove seems to want the use of a screw driver stem or such like but when I try, it risks ripping the plastic. Am I missing somethijng obvious? Also what is the top-up point, so it is visually brimmed to the top?

    Mpg!

Last week I fitted a scangauge to my tdi and I thought I drove pretty easy. Before my lupo would get about 54mpg average to a tank. After a 46 mile round trip to work today using ths thing in the end I managed to get the average mpg to 83.5mpg! You sure its not your driving? Just sit it at 2k rpm and see how it goes on a tank, if anything the SDI's should do better! Possibly your injectors or fuel filter could be partially clogged? Well worth getting a scangauge even for seeing if it brings up any ECU fault codes.
  15. Not sure if anybody can confirm but visually; are golf mk4 sun visors the same as Lupo ones?
