  1. I did think that but thought I'd check with the world before wasting £40-60 thank you
  2. I did a 1.0 to 1.4 conversion but my 1.4 ecu has buggered up, so I was wondering whether I could put a 1.0 ecu in that I still have? Thanks Richard.
  3. haha its fine, thanks all!! if some body would please view my other thread because i need help here too http://forums.clublupo.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=82438&hl=&fromsearch=1
  4. Cheers, but the thing is the puma engine seems to be smaller in size, there for hopefully a simplier swap, less money, more uniqueness!! lol
  5. yeah i get the ecu loom etc, and to go from 50bhp to 125 is a big jump!! lol plus the sheer fun of doing something abit different...thanks for the advise
  6. Thanks for the great response!! i have looked at where the engine is mounted in comparison to my mounts and they do need adjustments, however friend is going to deal with that lol (alot of trust in him) maybe ill do what you have suggested and take down measurments etc and check it against the car
  7. Yeah, so ide noticed that my passenger front side light was dead and replaced it and still didnt work so i guessed there was a wiring issue (as the bulbs worked fine) but then i was driving along with a mate behind and he told me that me rear side light was out on the same side, so im now wondering if its a fuse or something??
  8. I have been asked if i want a ford puma 1.7 engine with 6 speed box n all, but i was wondering whether the engine will go in or are things such as steering columb in the way etc? Thanks. I also have a 1.8t audi engine i know with a few tweaks to mounts etc that they fit, but the 1.8t engine is in need of some serious work so would be better if this would work, thanks richard.
  9. Yup there is a plug into it, i pressumed this was an air flow sensor? and air box and all is off the car throttle body opens but not fully? however when depressing the pedal i can feel the slack?
  10. yeah i thought that but have searched aroud it and cannot see any thing? my only thought is below the TB, but surely Vdub wouldnt put it under the TB? Would they?
  11. Yes there is an initial slackness, and i didnt really look at what it was reving to? any ideas on where the cable would be?
  12. the butterfly inside the throttle body is only opening to a quarter, meaning less flow? i have a 1.0L V reg Lupo. is a fly by wire similar pricipals to a throttle cable? eg can it be adjusted and where could i find it? Thanks, PS Love the alloys!!
  13. On my lupo the throttle body isnt fully opening, and i was thinking maybe there is some slack on the throttle cable however i can not locate it? is this because the are electronic throttle bodies and therefore there is no cable?
