  1. WOW! OMG! I want this beast!
  2. Right guys, Im kinda torn. I like bonnet scoops. Admittedly, I like them when I see them on nice cars, like Supra's, GT4's and their ilk, but I do like them. God forgive me, I even had one on my old Corsa., despite how ridiculous it looked. There is a caveat to this like however... I also love the Lupo's lines. I dont want to spoil them by putting a scoop on that would ruin the lines. Furthermore, I hate parts that look like they have been 'stuck on'. I either want it blended, or I want it to have a cut/line that looks intentional. And no d@mn glue or fibreglass. With that in mind, can anyone think of any scoops that would suit the Loops lines and not look stupidly OTT AND that I can get an OE part for, as oposed t to a replica. I can only think of 3, and they all have drawbacks.... 1) Toyota Supra Twin Turbo Bonnet Scoop, `1996-ish`. Only problem, cant source the part... 2) The B&B Tuning Lupo Scoop. Problem? Aint got a clue what its from! 3) Mini Cooper S Scoop. Problem is, I doubt it will fit without totally reconstructing the bonnet.. Really would love to get my hands on one of these to check it out/play with, even a broken one... Comments & Ideas welcome, even from non scoop Dub purists! Maybe you can knock me from my Scoop induced stupor?
  3. Nice picture, looks exceptionally clean. Reminds me how nice a stock Lupo can look! It puts paid to any of my Bonnet Scoop ideas style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> Seriously though, I think window tints are going to be next on my list... By the way Snoopstah, where do you get all these VAG diagrams?
  4. Thanks guys, I'll go do it now. Better take a torch with me!..
  5. Hi everyone, Got myself a pair of those LED Side repeaters. Had my fingers crossed when they arrived hoping they wouldn't look too different from stock, and it looks like my finger crossing paid off! Now I've just got to fit the damned things... Well, actually looking at the guide, that bit shouldnt be too hard, BUT could anyone give me a quick method of removing the old side repeaters? Oh how I wish Haynes would make a Lupo manual.... Thanks guys....
  6. No worries dude! Thanks! Back to lurking for me...
  7. Pictures of your ride are still dead, as far as I can see on my browser. Darn it! I wanted to see those tinted lamps & side exit zorst too... style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />
  8. Job done, thankyou cojonito, you made it that much easier style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />
  9. Does anyone know how to remove the plastic trim on the inside of the tailgate? I want to whack some `sound-deadening` in there... Any advice appreciated, Craig
  10. Indeed it is. I took my replacement knob back to Hellfords and got m £££ back. Just not worth the agravation. Plus, if you dont get a gear knob thats the same size at the bootom, your left with a dirty great ring of metal showing. Not the effect I wanted.
  11. Would a Seat Arosa Hub adaptor work? Ideas? Experiences? Thanks, Craig
  12. To answer my own question, I took the panel off & its sits flush to the metal speaker `baffle-panel`. If I wan to mount an amp there, I'm going to have to... a)ditch my rear fill speakers (shame style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> ) b)Have the baffle panel cut away I'll let you know how it goes! Craig
  13. Just asking all you boys who have had their rear quarter internal panels off when upgrading the factory comps, If I ditch my rear fill speakers, is there room for 1 amp measuring 12" Long x 10" Wide x 2" Deep on each side? Failing this, are the door cards off the `non-GTi`'s more roomy? Thanks everyone! Craig
  14. Dont let them do it for you! Its so easy its not even funny! at £60 theyre ripping you off! I just asjed the parts guy @ VAG how to do it, and he told me! 20 minutes, both sides, tops! a) remove popper in line with door handle style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="B)" border="0" alt="cool.gif" /> unscreww screw beneath popper c) undo `star-bolt` in line with door handle d) remove, now loose & free lock barrel & cover e)poke in forementioned spacer, f) clip in cover g) reverse stages c thru a. h) and repeat i) and enjoy self done mod! I needed some star drive ratchet things, that cost me £15 from Hellfords, but its still cheaper than £60  Hope this shared wisdom helps Craig, PS, get my bits on Tuesday, so we'll see if Im so bolshy then style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
  15. How do I get the damn thing off? I start from the bottom, taking the gaiter off, but I cant actually get the gearknob itself off? How is it attached to darn shaft? Cheers, Craig
