Also again if you can get the keys pour those hole punch circles down the air vents... and set the fan to full blast... then when they turn on the car next it sprays out....

  8. Might be silly....BUT... we have had a few car in here recently with "bad smells" coming from the heater/ac system... and the tech's have being pulling out all sorts of things off the radiators... rats/mice/birds... so might be worth a check... style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
  9. Quik Fit are doing the same thing now... just re-gassing the AC i think... style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

  11. Ok a few people have looked at the car tonight... seems to over get upto 100 and the fan never cuts in... Athough the 2 pipes to and from the rad are hot and flowing... its been suggested that it is the fan switch... so hopefully not a too bad repair bill... No idea on the AC though yet... that will be invetigated tomorrow...

  14. Ok so its not the wipers that are the prob... its the screen... Use the Vinegar again and clean the screen with it... make sure the screen has been cleaned already and that it is dry...
  15. Vinegar... Pour some onto a rag and then wipe blade on rag... does the job nicely...
  16. That was me... Just to make sure were the wheels Dark/Black? style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> Where were you guy's?
  17. Well the Mrs was on the way to work today and stuck in traffic and the temp gauge went up to 110... and did not seem to come down... so noisey AC and a possible over heating prob... could the 2 be connected???
  18. The radiator fan: is that the big one behind the main radiator? Or is there another fan? The noise is there but the fan is not on at that moment.
  19. I got a noise coming from the engine bay sound abit like over reving... but it coming from the AC. I know this as the noise is only there when the AC is on.. but goes as soon as i turn the fan off or AC off.... Does anyone know what it maybe? How it can be fixed? Im thinking the AC may just need re-gassing, but any suggestion will be greatly recieved. Neil Its a '51 reg GTi if that makes any difference. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
  20. Get in contact with your insurance company and claim on the Glass excess you have... Then maybe they can get it fixed quicker and cheaper... Neil

    Sunroof

I normaly get sunroofs in Pugs for about £200 tilt and slide... but they slide above the roof... Personally i would not get one fitted, unless you have a real burning desire to get one. They often leak after a few years, they are not factory fit standard. Also they actually seem smaller than factory fit ones. Neil
  22. Wood trim=Standard trim for V6 4motion
  23. You could always buy the ebay ones...Melt/cut the bit off you don't need that allows you to attach them to the car. Then use some clear velcro pads to stick them directly onto the h/lamp... will look gash when their off.. but should look good when attached... Neil
