    Lupo/Arosa finance problem

First up its still your problem... so non-payment is not an option on the DD. Unless you like defaults on your credit file. Do as Dub-Love says... kick up a stink... And do it today on saturday as the sales manager will not want a seen on their busiest day... but speak directly with the sales manager NOT the salesman or anyone else. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

    Cat D?

So let me get this straight... Your sitting in your £6000 car in traffic not moving. And the person behind goes into you. Once inspected by the body shop they give you an estimate of £700 to repair the rear bumper as there is no other damage to the vehicle. And because you go though insurance it becomes a "write off" CAT-D? style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="confused.gif" />

    Auction help!

You get charged VAT on second hand goods because no one has paid the VAT on it in the first place. So when its VAT qualifing what it means is that your invoice will show VAT. So what will happen is if you buy at £7000 from the auction. It will show say £6000+VAT=£7000... Its not £7000+VAT unless its a commerical vehicle. These are the general rules but it does vary from car to car so you need to listen to what the person says on the podium before the particular car goes though. style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Trade in value of Lupo GTi @ Dealers

£1500 margin -250 prep/service/b.work -218 vat -100 commission =£932 Then the next customer wants £500 extra for their own px =£432 clear profit... Is it worth them buying and selling the car for £432 profit??? These threads kind of niggle at me abit. Its not like dealers have a 300% margin, but Mc Donalds do, same with most restaurants. Yet people don't complain about them and call them "stealers" and the like. At the end of the day every one knows you can POTENTIALLY get more for selling it privately. And the key word is potentially!!!! I have a lovely Nissan terrano 4x4 for sale at the moment books as a clean car for £3000... i have it up for £2800 and has the phone rang??? NO! And this one has everythng going for it. So cars don't always go for "book" or what you would expect. I personally would like to see less of these types of threads...but hey thats just me.... style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> Rant over, love you all! style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":P" border="0" alt="tongue.gif" /> P.s this was not aimed at anyone in particular, just in general.
