  9. I see people often said the ibiza cupra carrier will fit, If so then this seems the best option. Cheap, Newer and looks little more stronger/durable? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Front-Brake-Caliper-Carrier-for-Seat-Ibiza-93-02-/300934549862?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Model%3AIbiza|Cars+Type%3A1.8+T+20V+Cupra&hash=item461118d166
  10. when you buy the carriers i assume you get the slide pins? I've found a st which look like they dont have the pins, does anyone know whether the pins out of the smaller carrier fit?
  11. To get the carbon canistor off, you lower your car, you try to park it but fail and mount bumper on the kerb, rip entire bumper off whilst reserving off. Then a couple of days later you'll find yourself driving over the canister. then just join the two pipes together that would be in the canister
  12. It will be position sensor/ actuator, the cable throttle bodys do have this, mines been broke for years now. Lucky for us we have the cable still and the car will still work. Newer, fly by wire models really struggle when this goes. To stop it reving quite so high you can adjust the cable. Very simple take airbox of and slide the metal clip off and move it a slot to the left ( will loosing cable about 1mm, start car and see if its any better if its still too high try another slot along. This isn't a fix for the problem but i'm happy with it. While your there may aswell clean the throttle body which will help also.
  13. infront of the pasenger side front wheel, hidden behind the arch liner
  14. how does it get past the button?
  15. codes 01249, 50, 51 & 52 are injector related. but nothing coming up for 01163
  16. 01249 -? 01250 -? 01251 -? 01252 -? 00282 -Throttle Position Actuator (V60): Implausible Signal 01163 -?
  17. Anyone know what might be the cause of this? last time i just cleared the codes and it ran again but have left the reader some distance away this time...
  18. Agree with the lying part, but the car is still intact, cat d wouldn't have been any major damage. Might just be from my point of view, my car is a 2 time cat d write off and every ones had a go at hitting it to the point now my neatest body part is the mirror cover, but hey thats how i got it i always break out into storys, i like storys
  19. Has it been repaired? Problem? :S
  20. mine snapped off when i had my gearbox out, pretty easy to change, 13 quid for the bracket from vw Might be best to buy the 4 bushes as when i bought the bracket i didnt realise/think they had any but i just knocked them out the orignal one. one lever is bolter to selector shaft the other is a ball socket, pops out easy then a circlip on each good news for me though just got the box in 4 days ago... nice to hear that its on its way out!
