  1. join the club of trying to get parts for this. Do you know the part number? It might be on hertiage sector?
  2. AC was standard i believe. Looking at the sunroof pic closely it has a plastic bracket round it. Also it would be electric too (this does not look like it) and it does not fit flush. This one does look like a retro fit.
  3. Reason for this question is this one came up. A sunroof with AC Jap car. https://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C1276949 Special order?
  4. Ok. this is getting interesting. So i have inputted the numbers i think i need for the grill parts 6E0 854 955 (i believe is the support) 3B0 853 601 B (the emblem i require) 6E0 853 679 C (Gti with silver i badge) Whats strange is i can order the grill. But yet the badge parts that go with it i cannot. Also tried some other obslote parts (known) Aluminum bonnet - nope Lupo inscription badge - also nope Odd you think?
  5. Defienetly thinking of ordering the grill. Do you have the part numbers for the badge and holder?
  6. That is brilliant. Thank you. After going to the garage this morning it is working now but the motor maybe tempermental. Not the Mech. GTI N/S/F regulator was the one i was having issues getting anywhere.
  7. Lik seems dead. Although this thread should cover it.
  8. Are you sure the code you provided is correct. The only i reason i say this is Gti ones are apperently specific. Same as 3L @lupogtiboy should be able to confirm that
  9. Pretty much what they told me. But what I got out of them is apparently mechanical parts are available but everything else is not so much. It might be worth trying the link I provided earlier.
  10. Just hit exactly the same issue on my Gti. Although not for the Lock Micro switch. But for the passenger window regulator. Part Number 6E0X837461B One dealer advise one dealer might have one in stock. Called up said dealer and they sayid they did not but advised me to go here. https://www.volkswagen-classic-parts.de/ I have messaged a couple of other sources so we shall see what comes up
  11. If it was a Laser blue one with that mileage than that price would be close to bang on. Remember laser blue there is only 4/5 in the country. (so rarity plays in as factor). There is a red one on ebay at the moment with similar mileage and that is up to 5k already. It was on Gumtree for £6,200 (but i don't think gumtree is where to advertise these days) (https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-Lupo-GTI-1-6-16v/154131766510?hash=item23e2f81cee:g:fnIAAOSwehZfgLw7) Also there has been two Gtis that sold £6500 recently (one was a ex press car with more miles but has the history and had every option ticked). Also you have to think of the spares package it comes with Spare alloy wheel (looks new) value couldn't say as i think its a obsolete item. Orignal red piped mats spare - £100 at least in that condition (again obsolete) Orignal rubber mats spare - for set around £50 (i think its a obsolete item) Spare centre caps (6 of them). Say £20 a cap for arguments sake. (£120) Two brand new tyes - Look like toyo Proxieres TR1 (retail around £60 each from demon tweaks) Another factor that has to be considdered is "its not a import" as his AirCon speced. Makes it slightly easier to insure (not sure what the insurance deal with imports, maybee davy can elaborate as his a import) Realistally £7500
  12. Hi I have a Gamma radio buti do not have a code for it. What is the best way of getting one? Is there a free way to do it? I have googled and the results are slim to rubbish
  13. The back cover Vw still do. Its two parts in that it is a back cover/holder. Part numbers 6H0945289A (cover) 6H0945159A (Retainer)
  14. I saw a guy on one of the Facebook groups doing this. Then again there is a guy on here that has a really low mileage lupo gti (around 3000 miles something like that)
  15. I think thats sold. Apperently from what i heard it sold within 2hrs of the advert going up....
  16. Volkswizard have red Y Reg with leather interior for £6990 (65000 miles) https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/202004028833291?radius=1500&make=VOLKSWAGEN&model=LUPO&sort=price-desc&onesearchad=New&onesearchad=Nearly%20New&onesearchad=Used&advertising-location=at_cars&postcode=tn254qh&page=1 KGF have a Blue 2003 GTi with aircon for £5995 (44000 miles) https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/A-Rare-UK-Raven-Blue-Volkswagen-Lupo-GTi-with-17-Stamps-and-44-460-Miles/283864817891?_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20180816085401%26meid%3Db04438f43c344c168e94fac729e617fc%26pid%3D100970%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D2%26mehot%3Dpp%26sd%3D174217022996%26itm%3D283864817891%26pmt%3D0%26noa%3D1%26pg%3D2380057&_trksid=p2380057.c100970.m5481&_trkparms=pageci%3Aebfe1ad7-8c5c-11ea-bce5-74dbd180dcfe%7Cparentrq%3Ad4dc2bf11710a9e846914b77ffb9caa2%7Ciid%3A1
  17. I was told a story once from the Vw dealer i bought my Up from. They said when they first got a Gti in they sold it to a older person...
  18. Been looking into this Read some where the only lupo that is not compatabilte is 1.4 FSI (we did not get so ok - link https://www.acea.be/uploads/publications/ACEA_E10_compatibility.pdf). However RAC contradicts this with the following "As a rule, drivers of cars registered prior to 2002 are advised not to use E10 in their vehicle, as problems have been reported. And as of 2011, all new cars sold in the UK must be E10 compatible." But this does not make much sense as the lupo gti was produced between 2000 to 2005 :S. So i would go with the ACEA doc on that. Although i run my on super unlead which i think is being kept on the lower E5 grade (need to confirm this)
  19. Ok. It does not look too bad. But can't see the chassis rail to be certain. Bit you will need to fix Straighten the the part that holds the wing (name is alluding me) PAS headlight Bumper (upper and lower) Bumper covers slam panel Bonnet - the difficult bit as these are not supplied in alminumum new anyomre. so 2nd hand is the the only option. Washerbottle (this goes behind the pas wing) Grill and badges Bits that "might" be salavageable - crash bar and radiator Ok if you wanted to swap the engine between a gti and 1ltr you would the following Rear beam (has disc brakes) Engine Gearbox Front Brakes/Suspension - unsure of damage so something to consider loom - to note the battery is in the boot. So you have to rewire it to the front or modify the boot floor Exhaust - depends if you want the centre exit or not. I would advise go for standard rear exit as geninune new centre exit rear box is £660. But you can buy a scropian box which is cheaper It suprises me they imported this car in the first place due to the fact it is A. damaged and B. most Jap imports you can find have lower mileage. Although lower milage cars are not common. Jap ones can still be found.
  20. Have you got any pics of the Gti. Just for reference as to how bad it is. Milleage could be a factor too
  21. Ok. Another Press Car to add. T75DBW. Featured in Auto Express. I will update the list. Link to the Driven competition thread -
