the main thing id be looking for is a lifetime guarantee aslong as they are true to their word and replace it if you genuinely break it without abuse then why pay 30quid for a spanner when you get the same cover on a tenner spanner? ive got quite alot of snap on and bluepoint its ok but generally wouldnt say it was largely better than alot of cheaper gear. teng is a great price and great tools still got spanners and sockets from 15 years ago and they get abused as im a mechanic. snap on air tools steer clear of, fortune and not that good next time im getting new ones i will be getting ingersol rand. britool and sykes pickavant i rate, love their gear, strong reliable quality stuff. and as someone said ive heard theres a link between bluepoint tools and halfords tools. i heard the rachet spanners are identical but a fraction of the cost. other than that ive used signet spanners and sockets, their pretty good and cheap.

Pulling to the left after tracking?!?
jonnykell1980 replied to tjbaker91's topic in Car Care, Maintenance and Mechanical
you dont necessarily need a different set of wheels, just swap them side to side. toyota had a problem with cars pulling to the left and first thing we had to do was swap the wheels round something to do with the coincicity of the tyres?? may have just made that word up but it was something along them lines. and swapping them would fix some of the cars. -
sounds like you could of done with some plug lead pliers. but mole grips or waterpump pliers would do. what youve bought looks a bit aggressive for what you need mate.

IDGM take a look at the rusty scabby looking rat engine under my bonnet mate. not a choice

thats interesting didnt realise they were so keen for them just thought it was mainly the british that wanted british cars and the rest of the world generally wasnt interested.

would have to have a massive camber to prevent accidents -

very good point about pressures. and you can set up a car perfectly central on a 4 wheel aligner and it will end up with the steering off to the right to drive straight due to the camber of the road thats why i generally try to set the steering slightly to the left to try counter act it so the steerings somewhere near on the road. -

thats a bit **** blackcat. i wont even start a 4 wheel alignment unless the tyres are evenly worn or new. then i point it out to the customer if they arent and advise that adjusting now will be pointless because if the tyres are replaced it will throw it out again. -

the garage should of said something if its a tyre issue not saying that it isnt the case. -
why the french after them?
-
would have to run an immaculate engine to pull it off though wouldnt you giant? bit like some old hotrods think that was more down to the size and cooling aswell though. would look good with the right engine and a impressive paint job. or you thinking rat look engine? or full clear perspex bonnet with rat engine.

incorrectly set up suspension can cause vehicles to pull under acceleration. if its not right it can exagerate the camber of the road and accelerating can exagerate it more. other than that worth checking for binding brakes.
