  1. Put it to standard and sell the spoiler and Cambridge lights separately.
  2. KW V1s not stupidly low 280mm Brembo Max front discs, MOTUL DOT 5.1 Fluid and Stainless braided hoses: Brembo OEM replacement on rear, Tarox Strada pads all round. Whiteline Rear ARB on middle setting 17mm spacers on rear Vrdestein Sportrac 5 all round; or they will be when I get my wheels refurbed and a new pair up front ...eats up the Scottish Roads (and English) just fine 👍🏽
  3. We really need to get together for a trip to Applecross 💁🏽‍♂️
  4. Pretty sure I paid around £80 the first time. Spoiler was about £200 iirc, then paint 🤕 Originally the GTI were alloy, but only plastic available now (and back in 2010), so yes all the same across the range.
  5. Another set of roof strips ordered and received. About £90 a pair from VW now
  6. My current ones are in the body shop with my car at present. ...if you slide the strips in to the clear cover, does it look like it would mask the plastic from the rubber? If yours are unpainted then yes; jjust do the switch.
  7. I’d definitely think twice about removing the side strips and if you do be careful.. Lupos are getting old now, so you may find the you will damage the underlying clear coat or that there has been paint applied at some previous time in its life and you’ll end up with paint edges. If you can live with them, the strips will help protect her from car park dings. Just get some good cleaning and black trim protection. and carrying on from @weslangdon’s thread, the best bit of advice I got from my Royal Marine’s driving instructor back in 1981: “treat every other road user as an idiot, never assume the other road user is going to do what they are signalling to do and expect\be prepared for the unexpected. Oh and treat yourself as an idiot too!”

My back box has a small hole in it. Sounds good at full tilt 👍🏽 Got filled to pass the last two MOTs, but it popped out after a month or two. Ive got a brand new VW rear section to go on, but want to leave it as long as possible to fit.
  9. 2nd set for me. Mine came with strips too. If they were for transport surely the trims would be inserted in the clear part. I thought they look like they were for masking whilst being painted.
  10. I got a new one quite a few years back. IIRC it was around £200 before spraying. i have the receipt, but can’t be arsed getting it out at the moment 😔
  11. Have you thought about getting your 20mms reduced?
  12. I bought direct from H&R if I remember correctly, but they don’t list them now. alloy bolt on, no need for the rings as they are a perfect match.
  13. I have used Motul X-Max 8100 0/40w an K&N filter for years now.
  14. @dougie1142I ran 20 mm each side on the rear for a while and as said it scrubbed occasionally. However I am paying for that scrubbing now as it cut the edge of paint on the arch lip and the weather got in. Dropped to 17mm and no rubbing. KW v1s, Whiteline rear arb along with the wider rear and it a grippy little thing. ...great for driving on the Scottish roads 👍🏽

What’s the date? I could be tempted.
  17. Interesting engineering project. So many changes though I don't see how this can still be defined as a Lupo.
  18. Congratulations to Rich! You win today’s fabulous prize...
  19. Lupo spring and shock are separate, whereas the Golf shock is inside the spring.
  20. Definitely not the rears: MK3 Lupo
  21. I gave away a set in better condition than this. Only fault was about 1/2 inch snapped off the top of one rear spring and flaking coating.
