Hello... Firstly, can I just say this is a genuinely reluctant sale of a car we have owned for 9 years! Genuine reason for sale, wife bought a Cooper S mini last year, I have run the Lupo daily since but I need van so buying a T5 2001 VW Lupo GTI 1.6 16V with 6 speed gearbox Private "Lupo" plate included HN5 1UPO Completely stock with exception of head unit Approx 92,000 miles (all old MOTs to prove) 1 previous owner, then my wife since 2006 (9 years!) Book pack, both keys and key code tag, V5 We purchased from Exeter main VW dealer Mann Eggerton MOT until November 2015, tax on a disc until May (not sure if transferable?) Rare optional extra Electric Sunroof Electric windows, mirrors, remote central locking and alarm Xenon headlights and washers CD/MP3/iPod/Bluetooth/phone head unit Recaro style seats and red seat belts 15" Bathurst wheels, discs all round, red calipers etc Twin centre exit exhaust Aluminium body panels GOOD POINTS Excellent condition inside and out - cleaned every week, regularly clay barred, waxed etc with Megs Rare car, low owners, below average miles, well looked after, nice plate etc Not got the usual corrosion on roof channels, roof was bare metalled by VW under Warranty!! Cambelt, water pump, service (oil, filters, plugs, leads etc) in Dec 2014 (2k miles ago) Only done 92k but had 3 Cambelt changes as changed at time interval regardless of miles! Matching Toyo tyres All old MOTs, tax discs and some receipts BAD POINTS Ok, all cars have them and I consider myself to be picky but honest!! It's not a show car but it is a very clean and honest example which has been well loved! Crack in front screen, only reason I've not done it is we have 3 cars on a multicar policy and I don't warn to make a claim as already claimed on Mini recently. Small scuff on corner of rear bumper, estimate about £100 to have done professionally, may consider getting it done for a good offer Electric windows need attention, passenger one intermittent and drivers not working. Either switch issue or regulator, common fault on Lupos. All other electrics work perfectly (sunroof, central locking, alarm, mirrors etc). I really don't know what to ask for it as prices for these are all over place!! But considering the low owners, condition and the plate I'd like to as £2995 but I would listen to offers???

2001 VW Lupo 1.4 16V S 82k miles (approx) Electric windows Rear pop outs Remote Central Locking Height adjustable seats MOT till Feb 2012 (had 1 advisory - rear exhaust corrosion - now replaced) Tax till Aug 2011 (cheap tax £120/annum) Recent cambelt (Feb 2010), full service (Feb 2011), discs and pads (Dec 2010), plugs, leads, windscreen (Jan 2011), exhaust (Feb 2011) lambda sensors, wheel bearings etc etc New gearbox (uprated with transporter pinion bearing) in April 2010 Lowered 60mm (TUV approved Supersport) Genuine 15" G60 steels with matching low profiles (nice stretch) Black headlamps Yellow indicators (bit faded lol) Debadged tailgate Colour coded VW badges Dewipered tail gate chequered roof (vinyl removable) Europlates Surf stickers etc Good points VGC throughout, no significant scratches, dents etc, very straight and clean and rust free. Interior free from bolster wear, tears, burns, stains etc Cheap Insurance (I pay £20 per month), Cheap tax (approx £120/yr), Cheap to run (does 165+miles on £20 around town) Fortune spent!!! I have about 4k in this car!! lol Bad Points Recorded as Cat D as suffered panel damage in 2009 - I have photos of car as I bought it damaged (well my friend did on my behalf) - should have never been a write off - needed a wing and a door skin! Was hit in snow whilst stationary! See photos in readers ride thread and below! Passenger electric window intermittent (doesn't work more than it works to be honest... needs a regulator) Pedal box had to be professionally welded as clutch bracket sheared off (common VW fault especially Lupos and Polos!). Has been fine since repair but I would prefer to mention it, think a new pedal box is approx £30 from VW but is several hours labour to fit, to be honest the repaired version is probably better lol Looking for £1200 ono... open to sensible offers First to see will buy Genuine reason for sale as just bought a new car. Hi Been offered a gearbox from a Polo G40 to replace my 2001 VW Lupo 1.4S box (085 ETD code) Will this gearbox fit? Will it be a straight swap? Any issues with clutch? Ratios etc? Any help gratefully received! Thanks

Cheers for comments! Yeah been quite lucky with plates upto now.... (not wanting to tempt fate!)... Ran europlates on last 3 or 4 cars daily, and on Caddy, also my missus' Lupo plate is spaced sketchy too to read HN5 1UPO

yeah 60mm front and rear... Running 195x45x15... again for practicality...as Caddy runs same wheels with 165x45x15 smartcar tyres for stretch!!
