After some tyre help, at the mo im running a 185/45 on my 8.5j ... im after a 175/45 but there so hard to get hold off so my question is.... would i get more clearance (side wall pitch/stretch) with a 175/50 or with my 185/45 ??? I didnt know if running a narrower tyre but with a higher profile would give more clearance than a wider tyre with a lower profile... any help welcome thanks

I'm not to sure mate .. Going on how much it lowered the front bout 60-80mm but as I didn't use the rear I can't be 100% ... The rear springs are the thinner shorter ones

I'm not sure how I can test them but when I put the fronts on it left it sitting about 10mm off the tyre wall .... So must be between 60-80mm drop

For sale a set off cobra lowering springs - not sure how low they go as only used the fronts.. but dropped my GTI to about 10mm off the tyre.. i brought second hand as only used front for couple days.. but in good condition £40 White Bonnet bra with notch.. used for couple months last year in good condition.. few marks on the bottom and the woolish trim bit is a little gruby but nothing a good clean wouldnt get out ...£40 These prices arent with postage - would rather collect but can do postage at exra cost will put pics up soon as .. any questions just ask based near milton keynes / Northampton
