    Rear Axle

Everything else seems to have escaped such bad corrosion. It’s a strange one! So my options for an axle are 6N2 and Arosa or Lupo is that right? Is a 6N2 disks on the rear? How much hassle is going from hubs to disks?

    Rear Axle

You don’t say 😂 Yeah it has always been here - It’s a cracker of a car, every piece of documentation and I just can’t bring myself to give up on it. It’s been sealed a bit underneath but the axle has taken a beating. With just 70,000 miles on the clock it’s shocking! Contacted local dismantlers but no luck. Contacted a few eBay breaking for spares but nothing so far.

    Rear Axle

I haven’t seen any of these replies until now, notifications must go to junk these days. It’s for a 2001 1.4 would a 6n2 bolt straight on to it? Or what would the difference be in a Lupo GTI set up?

  15. Can this be updated to 2010?
  16. Managed to temporarily sort the problem - turns out it’s not the starter motor, it the starter switch. Not have a hot wire running from the starter motor to the battery, feel like a car thief every time I use it now though but at least I don't have to push it down the hill and jump in New parts have been ordered so should be as good as new yet again very soon. Thanks for all the help guys, hopefully it will be my last post in the mechanical section :L Thanks again, Rachel

  21. My 2000 w reg lupo will not start Went out in it today and it was totally fine, parked it at home again and now... nothing! Put the keys in the ignition and all the electrics work fine but it won't start, doesn't even turn over. Got a tow from my dad and the car does start so presumably it’s a starter issue? Anybody have any advice or past experience? Also if it is the starter motor, how much does a new one cost? Thanks, Rachel
  22. Definately getting it lowered! Looking at the gaping hole between the arch and the wheel is far worse As for that hassle taking off the side strips I'm so glad i never have to do that again, haha! Thanks for the comments Guys
  23. I would say that nerves are good, as long as you don't let them get on top of you! I think my driving examinor felt sorry for me becuase i was nervous haha
  24. Yeah it has every peice of documentation all present and correct. Should see the mot certificate from 2008 to 2009, it only goes up a couple of hundred miles. Its crazy! I almost feel quilty driving it but it deserves a good drive, after all thats what it was make for!
