The definitive Gearbox thread

The gearbox on my 2001 Lupo 1.4 S is on its way out and I need to replace it. My brother had it up on the ramp today and we noted the number 085301107 on the gearbox. But when trawling the web the 'box codes quoted are three letters. Anyone know what the code for mine would be? The Engine Number is AUA 012236 if that helps. TIA yesilupo
