    Auto lights

Or is it because there's an option in the app to switch your lights on? Sounds kind of useful in the winter tbh.

    Auto lights

Stupid question, but is the Headlight switch the same on the VW's as it is on the Audi. I might buy one of those if it is.

I genuinely would have bitten your hand off if I'd seen this thread.

    Lupo Spaceframe Build

This is the kind of project you should do. Don't you have about 4 Lupo's?

To Polybush or not to Polybush

@LR5V Making the ride firmer doesn't make it handle better. In some cases, you might find it handles worse.

To Polybush or not to Polybush

I was all about polybushing a few years ago, but now I think it's a bit of a waste of time really. They're expensive, the ride worsens and despite what they claim, Polybush do wear, they just don't wear as quickly, but bear in mind OEM rubber bushes take years to wear out..... My SDI had 172k miles on, and I didn't change a single bush in the entire time I owned it (if you don't count the stupid check strap bushes). Stick with OEM or Lemforder like Rich said. Your spine will appreciate it.

    1.0 Sound

No. If you cut out the midbox then it'll sound like a bombs gone off but cutting off the backbox, welding in a straight pipe will sound louder, but not loud enough that you'll get pulled. Trust me, I was 18 once too. What I will say is, don't expect it to sound like a Ferrari, but it will sound a bit creamier yes.

    1.0 Sound

Cut off back box. Weld in a straight pipe.
  9. You don't need to unscrew anything, you just need to suffer as you cut your hand. There's not much space admittedly, but both passenger and drivers side are doable without removing the headlight. Rear lights are self explanatory. One screw holding it in.

    Lupo 3L rear springs

Nothing that's going to cause a drop in MPG or actual running issues though? Why bother spending a fortune buying the original springs all the way from Germany. Just get a set of aftermarket TDi ones from EuroCarParts and forget about it.

  13. Really can't be arsed going over this again in any more detail, as I've done it to death and search function should find my previous posts. OBD2 is a generic umbrella term, K-line is the interface and the protocol I'm pretty certain on all Lupo's is Keyword Protocol 2000. What I'm saying is, your Lupo has an OBD2 port that works with both crappy Bluetooth adapters and VCDS cable you can get for a fiver off eBay. The only difference is VCDS is programmed to access VW specific PID's and the Bluetooth dongle will only access the Universal PID's. Get both. They're worth it, for different reasons. If you want to know more, I suggest reading the ISO 9141 paper but considering it's 20 odd year old technology I really wouldn't bother.

Subaru Lupo..... with the difference that the Impreza is so far in the distance and you're still trying to get up to 60

    Lupo 3L rear springs

Would there be any issue using a set of TDI springs? I can't foresee any?

    Central locking

I can't remember which to be honest. I mean you could look in the box and see if any have no fuses but with a female connector exposed. If not Google.

    Twin tone horn

    Correct.

    Lupo 3L TDI

The 1.2 TDi can be coded in VCDS to take a manual gearbox?

    Central locking

Most 1.4's have CL. If yours doesn't, then it's probably broken and the fuse has been removed. Put the fuse back in and assess the carnage that follows. That said, two new lock mechs for the Lupo is cheap as hell these days, especially with the aftermarket ones. You can easily get change from £50. If the central locking is erratic or problematic, I wouldn't bother trying to fix the old ones, I would just replace both indiscriminately.

    Twin tone horn

I'd quite like to see a fog horn or ship horn or something just for utter banter. But other than that, I just think Twin Horns etc are barry balls. Still, in answer to your question, it'll be easy as sin. Aren't most of them just plug and play?

I've seen SDi's in Europe with AC.
  25. Bury Technologies. I've worked with them before as a Contractor and one of their products was part of the system I was working on that was fitted inside a VAG group vehicle. Honestly, some of their engineers are absolute troglodytes....... I'm not even joking. Completely stripped any faith I ever had that they were making good products to be quite honest. Hardware is only one thing, and while they do use good hardware, their software and the engineers who worked on it, was absolute piss. I have to be careful how much I say as I'm bound by an NDA, but wow, just wow...... Still, their bad software made me a shed load of money, so not going to whinge too much.
