  1. Hi all, I have a 1.4 16v 2002 lupo - 52 reg engine code BBY. I've basically determined the pinion bearing is on they way out and I need it rebuilt. BOH : ( Anyway i phoned around to get some prices today and the first thing the fella at the garage said was is it an 085 (less expensive) or 02T (more expensive) box. can anyone shed any light on this? I have googled about and think it is an 085 as the 02T tends to be in the lupo GTI (I think). How can I find out what I have? Thanks Will

  3. Hi all , I am having gearbox issues with my lupo (sounds like the noise of a wheel bearing that has gone - rubbing noise between 0 -20mph) and have been told it's the pinion bearing most probably. I have a 1.4 16v lupo se. How can I find out the gearbox code? The engine code is BBY 160125. Is the gearbox code symply BBY? ( I saw a similar connetion mentioned on this thread - but i'm not sure). Also if it is BBY, would a gearbox from a 1.4 seat ibiza BBY gearbox 2003 fit and work in my car? - have seen one for £200 that looks good. cheers Will

  5. Hi, I know this is probably pretty simple but how do i remove and replace the indicator bulbs on the Lupo? Just had it serviced by a friend and he told me to replace the indicator bulbs as the amber paint on them is cracking off - is it just a case of unclipping the metal on the back of the light in the engine bay or do i have to remove the grill? thanks will
  6. Hi, I've read some posts on here about the OEM VW ipod adapter - Part no. 1K0 051 444 http://www.volkswagen-accessories.ie/ipod_adapter my question is has anyone used it with a 6th generation ipod? and can you only control the ipod via headunit controls, or can you still use ipod controls as well? thanks will

  9. Hi, I have a BETA radio/cassette installed with single space below it (looks ideal for cd) - and i want to get a CD player in the car, couple of questions (and sorry for these being pretty basic but i can't find the answers) : ) 1. manual talks of connecting a cd changer to the system - is this some item that sits on the dash or in the boot (i.e a multichanger?) 2. how can i find out what kind of cd player i can install? thanks for any help will
