  1. Found out that there is scoring on the inside of the right hand disc. I can sort that out.. but that doesnt solve the problem with the left hand side. With it occasionally pulling to the left and the rubbing noise...
  2. Ok guys... Have a problem with my Arosa 1.4 Sreg. On the motorway every so often it will suddenly pull to the left and then stop doing that. So not constant pull to the left. Also for a while when the car is in motion there is a knocking noise... as the while turns about once every revolution. Definately front drive shaft...? Also when on full lock there is a grinding noise. I have had the wheels aligned, still the same. I suspect that it is a CV joint? I dont know much about cars... how many cv joints are there? are they easy to replace... I can see Arosa ones on ebay are about £18. Also, some suggested replacing the wheel bearings first.. My last MOT had some advisorys. 1) nearside rear wheel bearing has slight play.. (but the noise is from the front) 2) nearside front suspension arm rubber bush deteriorated but not resulting in excessive movement. Should I take it to a garage or try and DIY? Cheers Dale.
  3. sounds like a fluke! lol.. yeah iv tried everything with mine. I need to physically move back the motor to get it to fire out to the correct position... only thing is im afraid of breaking it... not sure if these bolt type things are something I can turn to release it...?
  4. Hi, Ok the boot will unlock with the key (as i can turn it part way) but wont with the remote. I have had the plastic off and taken a look at it seems that when I press unlock the motor shoots out the arm.. but seems to send it too far. thus when I pull the boot handle it cannot engage with the 'catch'. Ok so is the adjustable? via a bolt or something... or do I have to move the motor backwards so it cannot go that far? - problem with this is the that screws are on the outside only some metal bolt style things hang down? do I get the pliars on these? Cheers Dale.
  5. Got everything working apart from this any ideas anyone? Cheers
  6. Ok I got it locking unlocking flashing and bleeping! now only need to figure out the window closure.. I dont have a blue block in the kick box area.. only a brown and black. I understand window closure is in a blue box and is a grey/yellow wire just like the lock/unlock wire.... any help? Its an arosa.
  7. I have the same problem.. no blue block.. anyone cracked this one?
  8. I have this same problem.. I am installing a remote central locking kit... not fully installed yet but it should do the trick. There are some kits on ebay to repair this thing... but not sure how easy it is to do.
  9. A few questions... I dont appear that have a blue plug in the kick panel area (where the brown one is).. thus am unable to locate the window roll up wire. I have the following: White Wire (Lock) Goes to the Grey/Yellow in the brown plug White/Black (Unlock) Goes to the Blue/violet in the brown plug However the remote only seems to unlock the car and not lock... Finally my kit has a wire for the horn, any ideas where I can best locate this wire? Cheers for any help!
  10. Hi all! I have an Arosa and guess that the wiring is very similar... I have wired up everything but the window closure wires.... There doesnt seem to be a Blue box next to the Brown... are is it located with the fuse box? Its a '98 MK1 Arosa. Many thanks Dale
  11. Hi guys, Im fitting a aftermarket remote central locking and window closure unit... I have found all the wires for the central locking... but unsure which are for the window closure...? Its a '98 MK1 Arosa 1.4 Thanks!
